Below is a brief insight of the T1 creation

A camping trip was planned and the great old British weather didn’t let us down! It was a wet, windy stormy weekend away in our Transporter that led to the creation of T1.

Picture the scene…. September 2012 and a planned trip to North Wales and believe it or not for Wales we were hit by an unexpected storm! My accommodation for the night was a 2010 four berth Transporter and my son was in the drive away awning when the storm hit. The rain was lashing down…. the wind was howling…. It was so bad the pop top roof had to be closed and the awning re-attached several times through the night. After very little sleep we awoke to no let up from the Welsh weather and a sodden awning!! We couldn’t drive away from the drive away awning as it would have blown away. We were stuck at the camp site till the weather eased and we could pack up and clear off home.

On our return I thought there must be something on the market to keep the kids safe and dry and prevent pitching tents or awnings in the rain and wind. To my shock I found nothing suitable so I started to design and create what we now know as the T1.
